Easy to edit website
Just a few years ago, managing and editing a website was the preserve of webmasters and other internet professionals. If you wanted to change a price or a photo on a page, you had to ring a design agency and ask their web developer to make the changes for you.
While this approach has advantages, today most people want to update their website themselves because it's cheaper and quicker, and because content changes are needed so frequently that it would be inefficient to pay someone else to do it.
If you are still updating your website the 'old-fashioned' way, then it might be time to think about getting a content management system (CMS). This is software that lets you make changes to your website yourself.
The extent to which you can edit your website will be discussed with you and our developers can subsequently allow you (and/or your staff) to take control of all of your website's content, or just the parts that you think you will need access to regularly.
If you are thinking about using a CMS to edit your site content, it is worth planning ahead, as you may find that you need to take on additional staff, or retrain existing staff, to manage this aspect of your business.
Having editorial control over the words, images, videos and links on your site means you also have some influence on the position of your website's pages in search engine result pages. In combination with online marketing, the quality of your pages can have an effect on how easily your website is found (indexed) and ranked by search engines such as Google and Bing, so it may be worth spending some time planning how you intend to develop your website, and whether you wish to regularly post content to a blog or news section.
Digital Design uses Umbraco CMS, a software framework that means we can easily bolt on additional functions in the future as your business evolves.
We will also make sure that your site is well-designed.
